When working with a new client, I absolutely love when they give me tear sheets and say I like this room because....the beauty of this is that you can target right in on there likes and dislikes.
Here are six space that appeal to me for various reasons...
What appeals to me here is the pops of natural green plants added to an otherwise simple color palette.
I also like the unexpected use of a round about in the center versus going with the traditional round table.
In addition maybe the norm would have been to do a black and white floor, I love that this is a softer
gray and white. Simple elements and color palette but oh so dramatic!
This has been one of my all time favorite images forever. Love the more contemporary table mixed with french style chairs. Also the bold black and white floor. What makes it is the pink fabric with added pink china. It takes the neutral palette to a totally different level. The millwork on the left is really beautiful with the addition of baskets nestled in the open drawer bases. The space is very inviting and sophisticated.
I have always loved bringing the outdoors in, it is something I tend to use in most of my interiors.
Love the brick here as the flooring. The mix of the brick with the more formal architectural millwork is fabulous. I also love all of the other elements that are in the space, it has the perfect mix.
For anyone putting in a media room, my vote is for this type of thing. I am not a lover of the
movie theater type of seating. The texture of the animal hyde rug and the sofas is spot on and looks very
very comfortable and inviting. The focal piece here is really the TV cabinet. I love the fact that these doors close to make the TV look like and armoire. Pretty and functional all at the same time.
I don't know about you but I would love an invite to this party. The mirrored walls, crystal chandelier,
mirror top table and the natural pop of green on the chairs is beautiful. The space itself is over the top never mind the choices for furnishings.
Last but not least, this space is all about texture. The antique mirror wall sets the tone.
Adding the shell chest totally is unexpected and I like the more contemporary feeling rug.
All around a very sophisticated room.
Happy Monday to all!
Make it a good one!
